**About the role**

Alterations Now is seeking an experienced, skilled Tailor to join our team in our Airport West, Victoria location. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for expertly tailoring and altering a range of garments to ensure a perfect fit for our customers. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic fashion retail environment.

**What you'll be doing**
- Measuring and assessing customer garments to determine required alterations
- Performing precision alterations and adjustments to clothing items, including hems, waists, sleeves, and other tailoring needs
- Communicating with customers to understand their tailoring requirements and provide expert advice
- Maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail in all tailoring work
- Ensuring a timely turnaround on all alterations to meet customer expectations
- Collaborating with the wider retail team to provide an exceptional customer experience

**What we're looking for**
- **1-5 years of experience** as a professional Tailor, with a demonstrated track record of providing high-quality tailoring services
- Strong technical skills in garment construction, alterations, and tailoring techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- A keen eye for fashion and design trends to provide informed advice to customers
- The ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment

Pay: $23.66 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
