Saltwater Aquarium Store Sales AssistantOur client is looking for 2 enthusiastic Sales Assistants to join their young, vibrant team.Pay: $30-$39 per hour (commensurate with experience)This is a permanent position, with full time or part-time hours flexibility depending on operational requirements.
Candidates with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience working in a similar role or owning a Saltwater Tank as a Hobbyist, a passion for marine life, and a cheerful, hardworking attitude is mandatory.
We offer a competitive award wage that commensurate with experience.Responsibilities :Clean and maintain saltwater aquarium tanks, including gravel vacuuming, water changes, and coral careMonitor and maintain optimal water quality for saltwater tanks, including salinity, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levelsPerform manual handling tasks, such as lifting and moving equipment, supplies, and saltwater containers (up to 20kg +)Clean and maintain saltwater-specific equipment, such as protein skimmers, UV sterilizers, and reef tank filtersAssist with saltwater tank set-ups, including live rock placement, coral fragging, and marine livestock acclimationMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment at all timesFollow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as requiredRequirements:Sales and customer service solutions with a can-do and "customer is king" attitudePrevious experience working in a similar environment or as a marine hobbyistStrong knowledge of saltwater fish, corals, aquarium maintenance, marine life care, and water chemistryAbility to lift up to 20kg + and perform manual handling tasksPhysical stamina to work in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPositive, cheerful, and hardworking attitudeMust be able to work Wed-Fri, between 12pm-6pm and some weekends if requiredAble to pass a National Police CheckDegree in Marine Biology or High School DiplomaValid driver's license, a clean driving record and own transport to get to/fro work punctually, free parkingReside in Eastern Suburbs or within 10km radiusWhy Join Us?
