Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Aquatic Sales Assistant in a thriving store specializing in saltwater fish and corals.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves aquariums and marine life. As an Aquatic Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining store operations and assisting with various tasks related to the aquatic pet industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visually appealing and organized store environment by performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Receive and stock inventory, including aquarium supplies, fish, plants, and other aquatic products.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and assist in conducting stock counts to ensure accurate product availability.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of aquariums, including water quality testing, cleaning, and feeding fish and other aquatic pets.
  • Monitor the health and well-being of the fish and report any abnormalities or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Provide basic knowledge on aquatic pet care, including tank cycling, filtration, water parameters, and disease prevention.
  • Stay updated on new products, industry trends, and advancements in aquarium equipment and supplies.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as required by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Passion for marine aquariums, marine life, and aquatic pets is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of aquarium setup, equipment, and fish care is required.
  • Ability to handle live fish and other aquatic pets with care and precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Can do attitude, good initiatives, and willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry aquarium supplies and perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion.
