**The role**
The LGBTQ+ Inclusion Lead is pivotal to the success of the Group Inclusion Strategy, bringing the perspectives of those with lived experience to shape the inclusion strategy, LGBTQ+ programs and delivery plans. Working on the critical enablers for our group strategy and sustainability commitments, this role will engage widely with leaders and teams to lead the conversation, drive and embed DEI and belonging for people from LGBTQ+ communities in Australia and New Zealand.

This role is also accountable for activating strategic priorities for LGBTQ+ inclusion through team member networks, guilds and forums and building organisational inclusive capability. Critical to the success of this role is the delivery of measurable outcomes aligned to the sustainability commitments for LGBTQ+ communities that build allyship, advocacy and create a sense of belonging for teams and customers.

**About you**
You have proven experience working within the diversity, equity and inclusion space and are known as a passionate thought leader and advocate for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ communities. You have trusted relationships and an influential presence in LGBTQ+ communities and with senior stakeholders.

**You'll also have**:

- Specialist knowledge of workplace inclusion for LGBTQ+ people in Australia and a demonstrated commitment to service excellence, human rights, and zero tolerance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the proven ability to drive cultural change in collaboration with others **_essential _**:

- Experience managing cost allocation of budget and resources/procurement of consulting for specialist capability
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to navigate complexity and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience in a large, matrixed organisation, preferably in an Agile environment desirable

**Day-to-day responsibilities**
No two days will be the same; however, your key priorities will include:

- Contribute to shaping the group inclusion strategy to support the people strategy and meet our sustainability commitments.
- Set the LGBTQ+ strategic direction to deliver on inclusion strategic objectives and build internal capability.
- Own the submission of relevant external citations and accreditations to support a genuinely inclusive workplace.
- Develop and own the LGBTQ+ Inclusion engagement and communication strategy. Actively drive and play a lead role in the effective running of the team member network for the LGBTQ+ team "Proud' to influence and drive cultural change.
- Support and prepare briefing notes, progress updates and reports for the Group Exco sponsor.
- Maintain industry best practice knowledge and key relationships with peak bodies.
- Provide consultation, guidance and recommendations to the business as required on critical LGBTQ+ inclusion initiatives, drawing on deep expertise, best practices and lived experience.
- Define engagement campaigns and activate awareness for key days of significance and celebrations group-wide
