**The role**

Reporting directly to the Central Despatch Manager in Campbellfield head office, you will be one of the first points of contact for our customers, and responsible for providing a high level of service, efficiency, and professionalism, while maintaining excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. You will be trained in despatch and scheduling and work alongside the despatch team; there is also a large focus on incoming and outgoing phone calls, and scheduling and allocations of both premixed concrete and raw materials.

You will learn new skills with on-the-job training, be exposed to the construction materials industry and be part of a close-knit team, with potential opportunities to grow.

To be successful in this role you must be able to work Saturday mornings on a rotating roster (usually every second Saturday)

**Responsibilities**
- Answering high volumes of customer calls professionally and efficiently
- Taking and input of concrete orders within the Melbourne concrete business
- Working with despatch for scheduling and daily truck movements
- Maintain communication with sales, operations and credit teams
- Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are maintained

**What you will need to succeed**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with diverse customers internally and externally
- Proven customer service experience, problem solving abilities and ability to think outside the box, and a good work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop in this role
- Accuracy, consistency and reliability are a MUST along with exceptional customer service skills.
- Some geographical knowledge of Melbourne is preferred
- Commitment to health, safety and environment policies and procedures
