**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**:
- This role has two primary objectives:_
- Elevate VMware's presence across external and internal channels (including internal communications platforms, owned social media, employee social media advocacy and employee-led storytelling) encompassing ideation, creation, execution, and reporting.
- Lead operations for the Asia Pacific & Japan Communications team and support analytics and reporting.
- Within the first 12 months, you will:_
- Have a connected and collaborative relationship with the communications team in APJ and global towards developing stories from internal employee and DEI engagements that can be amplified across social and employee channels
- Strategise and execute communication-led owned social media activity at an APJ-level, while supporting country teams to execute locally.
- Utilise your unique advantage as a conduit between employee engagement and social media lead to inspire employee-social media advocacy to drive VMware's culture and stories externally.
- Be efficiently managing APJ Communications operations and processes, reporting the impact created by the communications team and being the 'go-to' resource for the team on analytics and platforms.
- Build your knowledge of media, analyst relations, employee comms, social media, and online content reporting, and by month 12 be ready to take a more leading role.

**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**:
- Connect and engage with the APJ employee organisation and bringing out employee stories that positively impact VMware's brand and reputation. Using a multi-channel approach keeping in mind business goals, company objectives and regional priorities, you'll bring these stories to life using internal and external media (such as employee intranet/ social media platforms).
- Drive VMware's owned social media channel execution in APJ to maximise social media impact with key audiences across APJ (working alongside social media and country communication experts).
- On a quarterly and as-required basis, coordinate with country communication teams and the reporting lead to deliver high quality reports and analysis using manual (excel) and online tools to share impact of communication efforts to key, senior stakeholders.
- Standardise and harmonise country, APJ and Corporate operations and reporting to ensure one comms business operating system works across the region to minimise bureaucracy and maximise operational efficiency at APJ, country PR manager and agency support level.
- You're a precise writer who curates content, differentiates value and usage of internal and external channels and work with VMware's creative and content agencies to develop tailored content for multiple mediums (example: newsletters, internal blogs, external social media posts, videos etc.)
- You're deadline-driven and able to deliver outstanding work within pre-agreed timeframes.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data on employee communications, content, social media to help the APJ communications function build a strategy which focuses on engagement and driving specific outcomes.
**What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?**
We are an APJ team of around 12 communications professionals spanning public relations and reputation, industry analyst relations, social media, content, executive and employee communications. It's a fast paced, dynamic, collaborative, and exciting environment. **Where is this role located?**:
The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from either the local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of either the Sydney, Melbourne, or potentially the Singapore office as you'll support local or regional events as necessary.
