About the Role:A large Federal Agency requires a Change and Release Manager to join them in support of their quality assurance and change & release services.
The successful candidates will hold an ITIL 4 Foundation Certification and have experience coordinating and facilitating Technology change, release & deployment management processes and procedures.Key duties and responsibilities:Apply in-depth knowledge of IT service transition along with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Lead, own and manage the Change Management process, including developing change processes and procedures as required.Manage the process updates and liaise with the client for improvements, enhancements and alignment to the customer processes for Change management and Release Management.Develop implementation plans for complex requests for change - leading assessment, risk evaluation, analysis, development, documentation, communication and implementation of changesManage the development of deliverables into production environments.Validate release notes.Manage Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and agreed Service Improvement Plans (SIPs).
Develop and apply change control procedures to ensure governance is adhered to throughout the lifecycle of changes.Manage all logged Requests for Change (RFC), using the change management toolset.Confirm with the client that the Change & Release Management process is fit for purpose.Be responsible for deployment management of deliverables to the test environment particularly guaranteeing that the external dependent items are available during the test runtime.Identify, evaluate and manage the adoption of appropriate change, release and deployment tools, techniques and processes (including automation).
Validate the interfaces with all other service management processes are maintained and integrated.
Skills & Experience Required:Knowledge of ITSM Process Management - Release Management, Change Management.Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to influence and persuade others to work toward a common vision or goal.The ability to harness information and expertise to ensure support to strategic direction.An innovative approach to work that applies holistic thinking towards the continuous improvement of services.
