Our research is underpinned by co-design to ensure that we meet the needs of older community members, and we focus on implementing evidence into aged and community care practice.
We collaborate with leading researchers and organisations to conduct rigorous quality studies that inform policy and practice beyond Bolton Clarke.
We share our research findings with the broadest possible audience, reaching local, national, and international health audiences.About The RoleAs the Head of Research Institute, you will oversee all research initiatives and set the agenda for advanced health and community care research projects through evidence-informed models of care.
This role is pivotal in shaping strategies, collaborating with leading organisations, and securing funding to deliver impactful research outcomes that inform policy and practice.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop and lead a research strategy and team aligned with Bolton Clarke's priorities and emerging trends in aged care.Research Excellence: Oversee high-impact research projects in areas such as dementia, wound care, mental health, chronic disease, palliative care, and veterans' health.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and scientific rigor.Funding & Grants: Secure research funding through government and philanthropic channels and manage project budgets effectively.Partnerships & Collaboration: Build strong relationships with universities, government bodies, consumer groups, and aged care providers.Policy Influence: Provide expert advice to government and contribute to national aged care reform discussions.Knowledge Translation: Ensure research findings are translated into practice, policy, and workforce development.Innovation & Future Planning: Identify emerging trends and lead strategic initiatives to keep Bolton Clarke at the forefront of aged care research.About YouYou are a dynamic and experienced research leader with:A PhD in a relevant discipline and a strong track record in clinical or health services research.Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and deliver impactful outcomes.Expertise in aged care, chronic disease management, and health policy.Strong understanding of research governance, ethics, and data privacy.Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.A broad professional network and interest in innovation, including AI and technology in ageing.Importantly, you will mirror our values of Be Kind; Listen; Be Curious; Always safe; and Always together in all aspects of your work Our BenefitsOur culture is both supportive and collaborative where you can make your role your own.
