About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly and dedicated Canteen Assistant to join our team at Macphie. As a crucial part of our food services department, you will assist in the daily operations of our staff canteen, ensuring that our employees receive nutritious and delicious meals in a welcoming environment. Your role will involve food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals and snacks in line with our menu standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the canteen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of food service areas.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations.
Engage with staff and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Assist with general administrative tasks, including food ordering and record-keeping.
Support the team in daily tasks and any catering events as required.
Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service role is preferred.
Basic food hygiene certification is an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using IT tools for administrative tasks.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Flexibility in working hours may be required.
