Our client is a high profile Federal Government Department which is also a part of the National Intelligence Community. MTP Services is seeking a Technical Tester to assist our Client on multiple projects.

Your expected roles and responsibilities are to:

- Monitor, assess, enhance public and internal facing security systems;
- Upgrading system security requirements to protect the Client's assets and reputation;
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support;
- Assist with the procurement and implementation of a secure portal;
- Enhance and improve the core system;
- Implement a business intelligence capability;
- Investigate the use of semi-automation capabilities such as narrow AI to increase productivity and accuracy;
- Develop a new user interface;
- Improve data quality and integrity;
- Leverage industry support;
- Keep the Service running cost effectively; and
- Assess future technology and capability needs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation for functional and non-functional (e.g. performance testing) requirements of developed software.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prepare, develop and perform testing on components and systems.
- Broad knowledge and experience in the configuration and use of tools required for testing software
- Experience conducting testing against both User Interfaces and APIs
- Ability to communicate within a multidisciplinary team with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure test outputs are understood and appropriately actioned
- Experience writing automation scripts using languages such as Bash Shell Script, PowerShell, SQL, Python, or Javascript
- Experience using common software delivery pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Gitlab and knowledge of concepts such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. This also includes experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, or Dynatrace
- Tertiary ICT qualifications or equivalent/demonstrated experience are highly regarded
