System Tester Role

The primary focus of this position is to conduct thorough testing and quality assurance-related tasks for ICT projects. A System Tester will work closely with our teams to analyze requirements, design test plans and test cases, execute tests, manage defects, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across multiple projects as either the sole representative or with other testers, providing various testing services as needed
  • Analyze all available information to design Test Cases that cover system and end-user needs, specified requirements, and design documentation
  • Contribute to Test Plans and Test Strategies that add value and provide a solid foundation for managing all testing tasks for assigned projects
  • Execute Test Case execution and results analysis and entry. Raise and manage defects
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, working openly and transparently in completing tasks and resolving blockers
  • Provide Quality Assurance tasks such as peer reviewing documentation, conducting static testing for requirements elicitation, contributing to design decisions, and participating in pre-release testing tasks for POCs and Prototypes
  • Assist in general team-related duties such as investigating production issues, collaborating with Business, and contribute to ongoing improvements
  • Thoroughly plan work and contribute to existing plans using methods applied by assigned projects and Test Team
  • Participate in meetings such as for Projects, Test Team, and stakeholders including Business representatives, other teams, and external/Vendors
  • Build sustaining relationships with all stakeholders and facilitate knowledge-gaining and transfer

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3+ years working as a System Tester in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements analysis, test planning and design, execution of manual and automated tests, and developing testing-related artifacts (including test policy, strategies and procedures) in an agile testing environment
  • Proficiency in designing and conducting tests for one or more of the following: Commercial software, Relational Databases Management Systems, Competency with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and related technologies
  • Prior experience working with both traditional and agile project delivery methodologies
  • Proven skills testing in the User Interface layer, and preferably with both or one of the following: Web Services, Database
  • Test design and execution skills which extend beyond end user such as with System Integration, Infrastructure, and in the headless layers
  • Ability to assist in User Acceptance Testing such as to resolve testing issues, prepare test data, communicate with Business representatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both formally and informally
