
Subdivision Planner/ Graduate Town Planner

**About the Role**
Our Subdivision & Certification team has an exciting opportunity for one enthusiastic and highly motivated town planning professional to join the team. The primary focus of this position is to provide technical planning advice, assess and project manage Development Applications (DAs) for subdivision and small lot housing developments. In this role you will attend to development and land use customer enquiries in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice.
**What you will be doing**:
- Assess and project manage DAs for residential, industrial, commercial and rural subdivision and small lot/ integrated housing residential developments;
- Assess environmental factors associated with rural and urban development;
- Prepare professional planning reports to decision making authorities;
- Prepare and coordinate the issuing of Development Consents;
- Review incoming DAs for completeness ahead of lodgement;
- Attend and contribute to pre-lodgement and Conciliation Conference meetings;
- Respond to development and general land uses customer enquiries.
- Provide expert planning input/evident, conditions of approval for Development Applications in the NSW Land and Environment Court
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree in Town Planning or related discipline, with experience in a similar role being ideal but not essential;
- White Card - General Construction Induction
- Understanding of the land development process;
- Sound knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1997 and related legislation to DAs;
- Ability to produce thorough and well researched reports, work in a multi-disciplinary team, prioritise and manage competing tasks, meet deadlines and achieve targets with minimum supervision;
- Helpful, friendly and assertive communication that supports positive development outcome;
- Current Class C Driver Licence.

Subdivision Town Planner Salary: starting from $80K + Superannuation
Graduate Town Planner Salary: starting from $67K + Superannuation
