ServiceNow Software Engineer - Federal Gov Contract, Canberra
Role: ServiceNow Software Engineer for a Federal Government contract based in Canberra.
Interstate candidates considered.
Baseline clearance (minimum) or NV1 clearance required.
ASAP start until end of FY 2026 with a potential x12 extension option.
Responsibilities
Develop ServiceNow solutions including scripting, configuration, integrations, and customisations.
Collaborate with business analysts, user researchers and service designers to understand requirements and translate them into iterative prototypes through to final working solutions.
Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
Provide advanced technical support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and performing root cause analysis.
Ensure system stability and performance by performing regular maintenance and upgrades.
Work in accordance with agile principles and participate in agile ceremonies.
Document all technical designs, specifications, and knowledge transfer materials.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop best practices for ServiceNow development.
Train and mentor junior developers.
Stay up-to-date with new ServiceNow features and functionalities and incorporate them into development processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience as a ServiceNow Engineer/Lead Developer with strong scripting, configuration, integrations, and customisation skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and prototypes.
Experience maintaining and enhancing ServiceNow applications; strong debugging and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Proficiency in agile methodologies and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Willingness to train and mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
