We are currently seeking a values-driven Youth and Youth Adults Secretary to be responsible for strengthening current, emerging and future ministry practice in youth and young adult ministry within an assigned region. The role is part of a collection of teams that support an intergenerational focus and work together collaboratively to provide strategic and tactical support to mission.

This is a max-term, full-time role for 2 years located in Perth.

You will successfully
- Support the implementation of the National Youth & Young Adults agenda which focuses on increasing leadership capacity through coaching and training
- Outwork an event strategy that models best practice, is valuable to frontline ministries and engages young people
- Develop and support regional teams of youth ministry workers, with a focus on coaching and development
- Engage with Area Officers and frontline leaders to support local youth and young adults ministries
- Collaborate with community services managers to ensure the Salvation Army is adequately meeting the needs of people connected with all Salvation Army mission expressions
- Ensure frontline services are supported including by facilitating ministry initiatives and promoting appropriate ministry opportunities within youth and young adults stream

You will have
- Relevant qualification in youth and young adults ministry or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience in youth and young adults ministry including in pastoral care
- Comprehensive understanding of The Salvation Army Culture
- Active involvement in church ministries with the Salvation Army- A Working with Children Check is required- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
