**Property Development Manager**

**Advise and Implement**

The Property Development Manager (PDM) plays a crucial role in supporting the National Property Manager at Hanson by formulating and executing strategies to optimize the value of Hanson Australia's extensive national land holdings. The PDM focuses on providing specialised expertise and management within the Property function, particularly in enhancing the value of surplus land holdings.

Collaborating closely with regional Development Managers, the PDM regularly assesses land that is no longer needed for operational purposes, often specialising in brownfield areas, such as former quarries or sites previously operated by other businesses. The PDM aids in developing strategies to maximize value from surplus property, which may involve realizing development potential, immediate sale to third parties, or retaining development value where appropriate. Additionally, the role encompasses the ongoing management of properties/interests and providing support to regional teams on specialised property matters.

**About You**:

- You have a Bachelor of Science or an equivalent in a property related university qualification
- You have previous project management experience
- Experience with instructing solicitors regarding the approval of detailed and complex legal agreements including development options
- A working knowledge of land and tenant legislation (preferred)
- Previous experience withing the extractive building materials industry (preferred)
