A position has become available at Hare and Forbes Brisbane branch for an experienced warehouse manager.
This is a fast moving and diverse role managing over five thousand products and over one hundred and twenty thousand stock movements annually.
In this role you willoperate a warehouse management system combined with your previous experience as a warehouse manager to maintain an efficient and tidy warehouse.
Located at Coopers plains, you will manage a small team of experienced warehouse operators who know their job.
This role is aimed at a seasoned warehouse manager whose goal is to manage warehouse flow while supporting their staff where needed.
What will you be doing?
You'll be working closely withourBranch Manager and supervising a small team of staff in a fast-paced environment.
Your core activitieswill include:
· Overseeing and planning warehouse space for incoming containers and other stock deliveries.
· Actively planning for and managing goods receiving.
· Analysing Inventory storage and bin locations to reduce time in motion and improve picking efficiency.
· Track and resolve inventory variances.
· Replenishment of primary bin locations.
· Release of sales orders.
· Oversee and assist with dispatches, safe and efficient packing of orders.
· Inventory management and housekeeping.
· Liaison with transport contractors.
· Staff management and task allocation on a daily basis.
· Leading a team of 6 store people and planning for the day today operations of a very busy warehouse.
· Managingstocktakeandinvestigatingvariances onaday-to-daybasis.
WhatSkills andExperiencewillyouneed?
Tobesuccessful in this roleyouwillmeetthefollowing criteria:
· Proven experience in the operation of a Warehouse Management System is a requirement of the role.
· Demonstrated ability in applying time in motion principles to inventory location and warehouse layout.
· At least 2 years management experience in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
· Computer literacy
· Familiarity with Pronto will be an advantage.
Experienced inChain of Responsibility(CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Regulation (NHVR) legislation
