**Permanent Full Time position**

**Salary**:$3,174 to $3,901 per fortnight (based on 76 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation and a nine day fortnight
- Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience._

**About Us**

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the 'Bushland Shire', our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

**About the role**

Be part of the Building Management Services team ensuring that Council's approved projects and capital works for Public Buildings, Residential and Commercial properties, Aquatic Centres and Multi Sports Stadium are completed in an effective and efficient manner.

**About you**

You will have high level building knowledge and a commitment to the completion of approved works in an efficient and cost effective manner.

You will need demonstrated supervisory experience, as well as strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills. Completion of TAFE Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or equivalent is required.

The position is usually based at Council's Thornleigh depot, however the person will be required to travel throughout the Shire in the performance of the duties.
