You will be the first point of contact with our customers and suppliers providing high-level administrative support to our sales and logistics teams.
**Empire Liquor** is a privately owned wholesale liquor distributor situated in Edwardstown, 6 km southwest of the Adelaide CBD. The business, now in its 30th year, operates from an air-conditioned and insulated 1,100 sqm office/warehouse facility with a dedicated small team of twelve sales, administration, and logistics staff.
We proudly represent an extensive range of leading, well respected local, interstate and international wine brands including d'Arenberg, Pauletts, Glaetzer, Mike Press, Mr. Riggs, Trentham Estate, Zonte's Footstep, Artwine, Break Free, Curator, Elysian Springs, Koonara, Marley Farm, Pindarie, Vintage Longbotttom.
In addition to our great wine portfolio, we also represent a respected range of premium international and domestic beer.
Our range brewed in the United Kingdom include Old Speckled Hen, Greene King, Belhaven Wychwood Hobgoblin and Innis & Gunn.
We have enjoyed a 20+ year partnership with the beer of Bavarian Kings - Hofbrau Brewery from Munich, Germany.
Our Australian beer brands include Rehn Bier and Walkerville Brewing.
We have twice been awarded Product Supplier of the Year by Restaurant and Catering SA, Empire Liquor's customers include leading hotels, bottle shops, restaurants, cafés, and clubs across Australia.
**About the role**
Empire Liquor is seeking a **Reception and Customer Service Assistant** with a minimum of Level 2 as prescribed under the Clerks Private Sector Award 2010 [MA000002].
Reporting to the Administration Manager, this is a full-time salaried position with a six-month probationary period.
You will be working in a small, dynamic team and your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Being the first point of contact of the business, including front office reception duties and managing incoming phone calls.
- Processing customer orders and all related tasks using the inventory and accounting system, along with other management systems.
- Providing support to the field sales representatives.
- Assist with accounts processing.
- Process incoming supplier goods documents.
- Assisting with any other sales administrative activities as required.
- Other general administrative duties as required, including high-level support to management.
- Ability to manage cost-effective ordering of stationery and consumables along with the skills to fulfill other general office and housekeeping duties.
As you will be the first point of contact for Empire Liquor, you must demonstrate the ability to consistently provide a confident, high-level customer experience both face to face and over the phone.

- A confident and professional personal presentation and a positive "can-do" attitude.
- The ability to multi-task, re-prioritise on the fly and manage competing demands with a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and composure.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of an internal phone system, photocopier, and general office equipment.
- A genuine interest in the sales environment and an understanding of promotions, offers and other incentives that encourage sales growth.
- A friendly and professional phone manner, confidently assisting and directing callers.
- The confidence to work autonomously as well as be an integral part of our small team.
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
- Previous experience with "Ezywine" accounting package is an advantage.
- A willingness and desire to learn more about the beverage industry with an existing interest and knowledge in wine and/or beer being a valuable asset.
