Civil engineers are essential to creating the world's infrastructure. They design, build, and maintain physical structures that support our daily lives, including roads, bridges, buildings, and airports.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver Technical Expertise: Provide civil engineering advice and apply advanced technical skills to produce high-quality designs for infrastructure projects.
Ensure Quality and Compliance: Perform detailed analysis and design tasks in alignment with relevant technical standards, client requirements, and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Engage proactively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and multidisciplinary contributors to ensure coordinated, timely, and high-quality project delivery.
Drive Project and Team Success: Contribute to the commercial and operational success of projects by applying sound project management principles, meeting deliverables, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Champion Innovation and Safety: Assist in the development and integration of BIM and digital engineering practices, supporting sustainable design solutions and improved health and safety outcomes across infrastructure projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Master's/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a commitment to professional development, ideally working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.
3+ years of hands-on design experience in highways and infrastructure projects, preferably within the NSW market.
Experience on Transport for NSW (TfNSW) road projects is highly regarded.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and exposure to industry-standard road design software such as 12D, OpenRoads, or Civil 3D.
Strong knowledge of local design standards including the Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD) and TfNSW Supplements.
