AGA designs its training and education programs to create genuine outcomes which result in quality, ongoing employment for students. AGA employs many of these apprentices and trainees and assumes the primary duty of care as the legal employer and ensures they are supported and mentored throughout their employment.
**About the role**
The Training Coordinator position is a senior role within the RTO and is responsible for coordinating aspects of timetabling, professional development, compliance, assistance with curriculum development across a specific area and ensuring the safety of Students and Trainers and Assessors, providing a safe working environment in conjunction with the relevant department and managers.
The Training Coordinator will engage trainers in moderation, validation and professional development programs to ensure that our delivery meets the changing needs of the industry and that our students are adequately prepared for careers in their chosen industries.
The Training Coordinator will provide advice and support to trainers and assessors in their area on matters related to training delivery and assessment and will be asked to assist in monitoring training delivery against business plan targets, the roll out of new training initiatives or procedures as well as supporting Field and Operational Staff in managing Students.
Training Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage training delivery and assist trainers to provide effective classroom management, schedule training and conduct workplace visits, collect evidence of on-the-job verification as per operational procedures.
- Coordinate the activities of the Training team with emphasis on providing guidance, training and compliance with legislation, policies and standards
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships and effective communication links with clients, students and management and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the Training team, consistently provides excellence in customer service.
- Monitoring workloads and response times, whilst assisting the team to maintain compliance with the RTO's regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with the Compliance Manager on policies and procedures of the RTO to ensure they are meet Compliance requirements.
- Ensure that quality outcomes are met in an environment of continuous improvement, including timely issuance of training plans/learning support programmes, coordination of evidence collection, assessment recordings, file audit checks and sign off, competency resulting in the student management system and certificate issuances.
- Comply with all relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment is maintained. Abide by company procedures for identifying and reporting of potential hazards.
**Key selection criteria**:
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment
- Qualification and relevant experience in the vocational area of training.
- Valid driver's licence
- A strong attitude and passion for providing a safe work place and proof of supplying a safe systems of work in an organisation.
- Ability to assist in the development of curriculum and teaching materials and understanding of relevant AQTF and all regulatory standards.
- Proven track record of training delivery in line with negotiated student training plans, use of training and assessment strategies and maintenance of appropriate evidence of assessment

- Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. A current Working with Children and National Police Checks are required and can be arranged for the suitable applicant._
