The person in this position will representInternational SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below:International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc.is looking for an individual who is experienced as General Practitioner committed to providing high-quality healthcare and improving the well-being of patients across a diverse population.Key Responsibilities:Provides medical services comparable to such services and coverage as provided by the USG Facility Medical Officer (FMO) during clinic hours of operation and "after hours" coverage, as necessary.Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.Prescribe medication in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines.Maintains a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with established Health Information Management policies and procedures.Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis.Provides excellent internal/external customer service to assist patients with their health care needs.Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site.Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.Assist in outside medical public relations functions.Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to the latest medical advancements.Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.QualificationsRequired Skills and Knowledge:Expertise in clinical practice and a collaborative spirit to a team that values patient-centered care.Strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.Required Work Experience:Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a general practice physician.Required Qualifications:Must possess a license to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPR).
Physical Demands:Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.Other Special Qualifications:Must be an US, UK or Australian citizen.Must be able to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the duration of the contract.A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.
