The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Undergraduate Student in Nursing (Day medical Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Assist patients with mobility and transferring to ensure comfort and safety.
- Support non-clinical tasks like organising patient paperwork and filing reports.
- Rotate and stock clinical supplies to maintain optimal readiness in the unit.
- Clean IV trolleys and maintain cleanliness in patient areas for hygiene standards.

About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (several positions).
- Base salary ranging from $33.88 - $34.33 per hour.

The Day Medical unit is located at the Gold Coast Unit Hospital and Tugun campuses. Between both units there are currently 15 funded spaces. The unit provides care to chronic and acute non-chemotherapy patients and works collaboratively with outpatients and inpatient care units.
