We are seeking a values-driven Support Co-Ordinator who will develop, support, and guide a team of support workers.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Support Co-Ordinator who will develop, support, and guide a team of support workers, delivering comprehensive client focused service to adults participating the Gold Coast Recovery Services-Fairhaven Alcohol & Other Drugs Residential Rehabilitation Program. Someone who is Responsible for support worker recruitment, training, supervision, performance and rostering and to help develop and maintain day to day activities to ensure safety and wellbeing of the participants.

You will successfully
- Ensure services are delivered in line with TSA guidelines and accreditation.
- Implementation of service delivery processes and tools (SAMIS, SolvSafety, Kronos)
- Deliver quality service to meets the needs of client groups; for example, supported self-administered medication, meaningful activities, warm admissions/entry and exits
- Ensure clinical governance, continuous quality improvement and risk management systems for service delivery
- Ensure clients have completed WHS induction, where appropriate
- Assist the Operations & Administration Team Leader in the oversight of various maintenance issues at the Centre
- Ensure compliance with WHS Guidelines
- Monitor risk to clients, staff and TSA in service delivery, provide responses to incidents and manage in accordance with TSA / Government processes and escalate where required
- Develop the capability of the team through coaching and training
- Monitor and contribute to the health, safety and wellbeing of the team
- Recruitment of staff in conjunction with Centre Manager
- Reviewing data, evaluation and feedback on service delivery with the team
- Assisting with the frontline implementation and review of practice model/processes and implementation of change
- Ensuring service delivery data is recorded and appropriately maintained
- Leading practice development for the team
- Build and maintain relationships within local community

This is a permanent, part-time (30.4 hrs per week) position located in the Gold Coast, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 5 Award.

You will have
- Minimum Diploma level qualification in relevant field
- Experience in a relevant field
- Demonstrable in supervising staff
- Experience in working with people recovering from alcohol and other drug addictions
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate desired
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate essential
- Ability to work in a team
- An understanding of and empathy with the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
- Current drivers licence with a LR or higher preferred
- Have a minimum of two years clean time (if applicable)
