About the School

Morayfield East State School is a Prep to Year 6 Education Queensland State Primary School which has been providing quality learning to the Morayfield East Community since 1991.

About the Role

The Deputy Principal - Student Engagement role, will sit separately to the other Deputy Principals in our school. This role will have a stronger focus on engagement of students who require either Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention.

While there will be greater specifics within the role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:
Management of the Flexispace which is being introduced into our school. This will be three classes, three teachers and three teacher aides to directly line manage along with up to 30-45 students in the school at risk of disengagement. This includes:
Curriculum Delivery
Student and staff support
Program delivery of the Flexispace
Student selection and sustainability of the program
Management of the Reset Room - Continuing to line manage the operations of the Reset Room for the school.
Linking with external supports that will contribute to the engagement and wellbeing of the student.
Promote strong collaboration and connection between the students and staff at the school.
Strong communication and presence within the school to promote the Flexispace and its implementation into MESS for 2025.
