ABOUT YOU The successful candidate will have a friendly and approachable character with excellent communication skills and initiative.
Flawless customer service with a consistently positive attitudeReliable, flexible, and excellent communication skillsProficient English language skills Eager to learn, grow and developKnowledge of relevant work health and safety legislation and food safety standardsCompetent and trustworthy cash-handling skillsWilling to obtain RP and Advanced Gaming Certificate ABOUT THE ROLEThere are two jobs available for 10 to 30 hours per week, working evenings and weekends is essential.
The successful candidates will have evidence of their Responsible Service of Alcohol (SA), your Basic Gaming Certificate is preferred but not essential.
Ensure excellent and professional customer service at all timesSet up and reset specific activities as directedUndertake general waiting and service duties of food and beveragesProficient in the professional service/supply, dispensing/mixing of liquor and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beveragesEnsure all gaming areas are cleaned to the required standardEnsure all gaming furniture and equipment are maintained to the required standardEnsure correct lighting/music/amenities and general ambiance of the gaming room is maintained to the required standardEnsure food, coffee & beverage presentation to the guests is to the required standardAbility to mix a wide range of sophisticated cocktailsCommunicate and liaise with team members, kitchen, and other areas of operationsEfficient and thorough knowledge of the point-of-sale operating systemMust participate and achieve targets of add-on sales, up-selling, and spending per headTo maintain the clean and neat presentation of the work area – bar and or restaurant area(s) by adherence to all operating policies and proceduresFollow Standard Operational Procedures and/or Safe Work Procedures for all areas of the hotel at all times as per WHS Act 2012Ensure personal compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)Any other duties directed by ManagementHospitality Industry General Award ABOUT US The Mount Gambier Hotel has been a perfect meeting place for locals for over 150 years.
