We are recruiting for a **Category Development Manager** to join the Wholesale team, reporting to the Group National Sales Manager - Grocery, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Category Development Manager is responsible for building the category and customer strategies to effectively meet the needs of the consumer / shopper, and the retailer. The role leads shopper engagement across the organisation, works closely with internal stakeholders and sets the agenda to drive closer collaboration with retailers through category expertise, shopper and market insight and a "joint business planning" way of working. This role will also build strategies that ensure that HAA's products and promotions retain their relevance and significance within the Grocery channel.

**What experience/skills do I have?**

We're looking for someone who is a strategic in their thinking and can see both the opportunities, as well as action a plan and corral the team to realize them. Incremental growth of our categories across all brands is the goal, and this role is critical in keeping the team on track.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within FMCG
- Qualification in Sales/Business - degree or equivalent
- Strong commercial acumen & analytical skills - especially with regards to consumer insights
- Experience in building strategies into commercial action
- Strong Communication skills - ability to create narratives using data
- You are cool and calm under pressure, able to deal with facts, and able to problem solve your way through different challenges without getting (or appearing) ruffled
- Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders, able to build and foster strong working relationships internally and with major retail partners
