What you will do The Purchasing and Administration Officer will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities essential to the seamless functioning of the Technology & Innovation team.
Your day-to-day activities will involve: Provide administrative support across procurement, travel, events, and office operations to ensure these functions run efficiently.
Raise and process purchase requisitions accurately while ensuring full compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Verify invoices promptly and manage goods receipting to guarantee timely processing of financial transactions.
Assist in setting up new suppliers within the finance system and maintain accurate records of third-party suppliers managed via contracts or legal instruments.
Support travel planning by booking flights, accommodation, events, transportation, and managing related logistics for the team.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and contractors by coordinating inductions, documentation, exit sessions, and compliance requirements.
Provide high-level administrative support to senior management, the Executive Assistant and Contracts Specialist, and the Head of Technology and Cyber Security, including credit card transaction processing, policy review planning, audit tracking, meeting preparation (agendas/minutes), and event organisation.
What sets Adelaide Airport Apart Proven experience providing high-quality administrative support within a busy office environment where accuracy is essential.
Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Planner) with strong organisational abilities and time management to handle multiple priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining accuracy in financial transactions and well-organised records.
Excellent interpersonal skills enabling rapport-building with colleagues across departments and with external partners or vendors.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear and respectful engagement with stakeholders.
Comfort with learning new business productivity tools or technologies quickly as processes evolve.
A strong sense of accountability and pride in contributing to shared team goals.
