- We work towards our goal by monitoring and enforcing compliance with electrical safety laws, working with industry and the community to improve electrical safety, and providing education and information on electrical safety at work, the home and within the wider community.

**We Work in areas of**:

- Safe electrical generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity
- Ensuing electrical work is performed safely and competently by licensed electrical workers and electrical contractors
- Electrical installations in workplaces, homes and public places to ensure they are safe
- Electrical equipment safety throughout its whole lifecycle in workplaces, homes and public places

**Your contribution**:

- The Principal Equipment Safety Inspector works across the breadth of the electrical equipment supply chain (design, manufacture, wholesale, retail sale (including online suppliers) and use of electrical equipment.

The role is a mobile, field-based position located within the Electrical Safety Equipment Operations and Compliance area. This role specialises in verifying electrical equipment in the supply chain meets legislative system compliance through auditing of suppliers of new electrical equipment. The role contributes to achieving the unit's targets in the Compliance and Engagement Program, and in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Policy.
