About the Role As a Project Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategies that maximise commercial advantage and mitigate risk. Your expertise in procurement and contract management will support the successful delivery of key projects while optimising cost and performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of sourcing and contracting strategies to drive efficient project outcomes.
  • Minimise commercial risks by implementing robust contractual terms and reducing total cost of acquisition and ownership.
  • Oversee all market engagement activities, including Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP), ensuring alignment with project goals (EH&S, schedule, quality, and TCO).
  • Manage contract negotiations, administration, and implementation for assigned projects.
  • Drive performance management and supplier relationship initiatives to optimise project success.
  • Resolve commercial issues related to supplier performance at the project level.
  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure sourcing approaches align with broader program, regional, and global procurement strategies.
What We're Looking For
  • A relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field within Engineering or Construction.
  • Extensive experience in procurement and contract management within capital projects, ideally in mining, resources, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
