Steelbiz Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Port Kembla, NSW.
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities
Supervising and coordinating the work of the mechanical team, including fitters, turners, and machinists
Developing and implementing maintenance schedules to keep our machinery in top condition
Troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to production
Providing technical guidance and support to the team, helping them to work safely and effectively
Monitoring and reporting on the team\'s performance, identifying areas for improvement
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Collaborating with other departments to optimise the overall efficiency of our operations
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Supervisor role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical equipment, tools, and processes
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
