As the **People Safety Manager - Engineering and Corporate**, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing safety initiatives across Jetstar Engineering and our Corporate office locations. In this role, you'll collaborate with the respective leadership teams to define and execute a comprehensive safety strategy that addresses both physical and psychosocial risks, ensuring it is successfully delivered. It is important to not this role is not a WHS compliance role but understanding of WHS regulations is desirable.

This role covers our Engineering (CAMO and AMO) and Corporate teams which are geographically dispersed across Australia, New Zealand and International offshore. It will focus on managing the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive improved outcomes in people safety performance for all of Engineering and Corporate team members. The role is accountable for the operationalisation, embedding and monitoring/reporting on initiatives and become a trusted advisor to the Business Unit Senior Managers.

You'll also work closely with the Jetstar and Qantas Group Safety Services team, fostering an integrated approach to people safety across the wider Qantas Group. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the safety culture within Jetstar Engineering and our office-based teams, driving innovation and improvement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

**To be considered, key skills will include**:

- Qualification in Risk, Human Factors or Psychology
- Prior experience working in a Human Factors or and/or Airport Operations or Cabin Crew roles Fatigue based position within cabin crew or airports is highly desirable
- Understanding of relevant WHS Regulations
- Experience in working within a business partnering or similar service model, including the ability to build constructive, effective and influential working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Good organisational skills, with ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, under pressure and to meet deadlines
- The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience delivering cross functional WHS and/or operational safety outcomes.
