OverviewSenior Civil Design Engineer - Wollongong role at Illawarra Mercury.
Based in Wollongong with the opportunity for remote working.
You will be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed civil design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, taking responsibility for your projects and expanding your portfolio.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessaryEnsure successful delivery of projectsProduce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codesDeliver design calculations, reports and drawings under limited supervisionProvide civil engineering design service to clients as necessaryWork collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environmentPrepare project briefs, scopes of work and feesMentor junior team membersQualifications and ExperienceEngineering degree in civil engineeringIdeally a minimum 5 years post-graduate engineering consultancy experienceA self-motivated, technically competent individual able to work independently but also comfortable in a team environmentExcellent communication and report writing skillsFamiliarity with or experience using our preferred software packages: DRAINS, MUSIC, AutoCAD and AutoTrackRoad design in accordance with Austroads and best practice.
