Based in Wollongong with the opportunity for remote working, you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed civil design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, whilst taking responsibility for your projects expanding your portfolio.

As the Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:

  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects;
  • Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;
  • Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings under limited supervision;
  • Provide civil engineering design service to clients as necessary;
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Prepare project briefs, scopes of work and fees;
  • Mentor junior team members.

Your Experience Will Include

  • Engineering degree in civil engineering;
  • Ideally minimum 5 years post-graduate engineering consultancy experience;
  • A self-motivated, technically competent individual able to work independently but also comfortable in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills;
  • Familiarity and/or experience with our preferred software packages: DRAINS, MUSIC, Autocad and Autotrack,
  • Road design in accordance with Austroads and best practice. Geometric design and pavement engineering;
  • 12d experience is highly desired.
