**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Property Services team is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of managing Council's Leasing & Transactions portfolio including Outdoor Dining and Goods on Display Agreements and property acquisitions and disposals which include road closures and easements.

We have an exciting opportunity within our the Property Team for an enthusiastic Leasing and Transactions Officer to assist with providing effective management and expert property advice on Council's property portfolio, including leasing, licensing, acquisition and disposal.

The successful applicant will require:

- Relevant Property qualifications and/or a minimum of 5 years' experience in property related dealings such as Local Government experience, Commercial or Community Leasing and Transactions, Commercial or Community Portfolio Management, Commercial or Community Property management, Commercial sales, Commercial Valuation experience and/or Leasing Administration experience.
- Significant experience in Commercial or Community Portfolio Management, Commercial or Community Leasing and Transactions, Property Management and Commercial Lease negotiation property contracts including leases, licences and sale contracts of council assets.
- Understanding of the legal framework in developing a head of agreement, understanding of commercial lease clauses and understanding and experience in reviewing a lease/licence agreement.
- Experience with instructing a range of stakeholders including valuers, surveyors and solicitors.
- Experience with overall Portfolio Management, managing tenants, leasing queries, debt management, vacancy and budget reporting.
- Highly experienced with proven track record of negotiating property and/or leasing transactions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel and Tech one
- Current class C driver's licence
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple property projects and leasing transactions
- Proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making capabilities
- Superior communication skills including effective report writing, presentations, facilitation, public relations, and conflict resolutions skills.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.

This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council's work locations.

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $82,409.08 to $94,770.50 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
