The Property Officer Transactions operates under limited direction and is responsible for facilitating a range of property transactions, including:
The acquisition and disposal of Council land
Permanent road openings and closings
Granting, acquiring, and extinguishing easements and encumbrances
Preparation and management of leases and licenses
Management of community land governance and operational requirements
The Property Officer Transactions reports to the Team Leader Property Transactions and is responsible for projects and studies as directed.
About You
This role involves coordinating and facilitating property transactions involving Council's diverse property portfolio, including land acquisitions, disposals, easements, road closures, and openings, in accordance with the Local Government Act.
Key Selection Criteria :
Property experience and comprehensive knowledge of property and public road legislation
Strong technical knowledge of property tenure agreements and real property dealings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
Ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with external stakeholders
Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
