**Job Description**:
The People & Culture (P&C) Risk and Governance team enables the P&C priority to effectively operate at scale. The team plays a critical role in P&C reporting for the Board, the Executive Team, and the P&C Business Unit. The team supports the continuous building of awareness and strengthening of the risk management and governance practices across the P&C Business Unit.

The P&C Business and Risk Manager contributes to the effectiveness of the People & Culture function with a balance of focus on long term deliverables, and the effective execution of day-to-day accountabilities. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with the Chief People & Culture Officer, P&C Leadership Team, and the Risk office.

**What will you be responsible for?**

**P&C Business Management**
- Preparation and review of P&C reporting and papers for the Board, the Executive Team, and other key stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of the P&C governance framework
- Financial Accountability Regime Business Representative for P&C, including the co-ordination, documentation and maintenance of reasonable steps
- As required, participate in global group initiatives and working groups and represent TAL and the P&C team
- On behalf of Chief People & Culture Officer, coordinate, review, draft and provide input for external submissions

**P&C Operational Risk**
- Risk reporting and presentations to P&C Risk Committee
- Support a culture of risk management awareness including the facilitation of P&C new starter information sessions
- Working with P&C team members to ensure timely identification, investigation and reporting of incidents or breaches
- Monitoring of actions to prevent or remediate incidents or breaches
- Taking a lead role in the annual Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and implementing the 2-year plan for Control assurance testing

**Qualifications**:
Demonstrated leadership, influencing and collaboration skills, and ability to get things done through others

Proven track record in writing papers, reports and presentations for others

Strong understanding and appreciation of risk management, and ability foster a strong risk culture

Ability to manage through ambiguity and ever-changing timelines and business requirements, while managing to deliver to set timelines

Understanding of Risk & Process management frameworks

Domain expertise in P&C and experience around operational risk management would be highly desirable

Collaborative relationship building skills with external stakeholders

Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including advanced experience with the full Microsoft Office suite

Proven experience working with C-Suite executives
