We are currently seeking a Product Engineering Lead for a large Federal Government Agency in Canberra.

About the role
The Product Engineering Lead will be responsible for lifecycle engineering activities within the product line, including requirements, solutions analysis, architecture, design, build, test, enhancements, and obsolescence/defects management.
You will also support the Product Manager and Deputy Product Manager through estimation and programming of technical work within the Product Line.
Duties
Lead a technical team to design and integrate the DCR with nominated external systems following the Agency's engineering management system and industry best practices.
Communicate complex technical and operational issues into understandable concepts.
Conduct Engineering Reviews of developed artefacts according to the project Engineering Management System and assigned Engineering Authority delegation.
Contribute technical inputs to planning and execution of product demonstration events.
Work with the Cyber Security Manager to respond to security breaches, investigate their causes, and implement remediation actions.
Contribute to the Agency's Engineering Management System and other lifecycle management activities.
Skills & experience
Extensive experience in ICT technical management, demonstrating personal leadership and delivery skills.
Expertise in ICT infrastructure, integration design, infrastructure-as-code, and development methodologies.
Leadership experience in DevOps / DevSecOps implementation.
Experience creating and deploying code and configurations via a DevOps pipeline.
Providing technical expertise and mentorship in a DevOps environment.
Test and evaluation experience.
Significant experience in IT and cyber security technical delivery or service operations.
Knowledge of the Australian Government ISM, Defence Security Framework, and NIST standards.
