The Role
Kelmscott SHS seeks a dedicated, enthusiastic Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teacher to join the team. This role provides an opportunity to showcase innovative teaching, contribute to an evolving HASS program, and support the school's aim of teaching and learning excellence. The successful applicant will ideally:
Have experience teaching both Senior and Lower School HASS.
Possess strong skills in teaching an ATAR course, or demonstrate capacity to do so in the future.
Understand the developmental needs of students across all phases of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Be skilled at differentiating learning to meet the needs of all learners.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
You should actively engage in professional learning, reflect on and refine classroom practice, and use data — including SAIS, NAPLAN and OLNA — to inform teaching strategies that meet individual student needs. Join us to be part of a school where innovation, diversity and excellence are central.
