**Position Overview**
We are offering a rare and exciting opportunity to join our passionate team as an **Industrial Organiser**. This role is based at the iconic **Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme**, one of the largest and most significant national projects in Australia. As part of the AWU NSW Branch, you'll play a pivotal role in representing, organising, and empowering AWU members in this vital region.

**Key Responsibilities**
As an Industrial Organiser, you will:

- Recruit new members and provide essential support to our existing AWU members.
- Develop and execute strategic organising plans.
- Negotiate with local management to secure strong outcomes for AWU members, including enterprise agreements.
- Engage with members through organising conversations, driving action, and upholding union values.
- Identify, mentor, and empower workplace delegates.
- Address member grievances and inquiries effectively.
- Lead and contribute to workplace campaigns.
- Work closely with WHS Delegates to maintain and improve workplace safety standards.

**Who We're Looking For**
We are seeking an experienced and driven individual who meets the following criteria:
**_ Essential:_**
- Proven experience in union organising, campaign management, or member engagement within the Union or Not-for-Profit sectors.
- A solid understanding of WHS legislation and the Fair Work Act.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to generate ideas and work effectively within a team.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and CRM databases.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Compliance with the Federal Right of Entry Permit process, including a clean criminal record.
- A valid driver's license.

**_Desirable:_**
- Previous experience in enterprise bargaining and negotiations.
- A strong commitment to advocating for workers' rights and values.
