Support Workers will deliver high quality services to clients through:Domestic assistance and general household duties including mopping, vacuuming and preparing mealsSocial Supports and accessing the communityMedication assistance and health support including accessing medical servicesPersonal Care and supporting clients to maintain personal hygiene and groomingSupport and empower clients to achieve their personal goalsWhat we're looking for:A team playerSomeone with the ability to be flexible, strong and resilient in various challenging situationsExperience with personal care, medications, manual handling and behaviour support plansKnowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the work in this levelCore CompetenciesAbility to work independently and provide safe services in client homes or within the community, following care plans and following a planned roster/scheduleCustomer service skills including the ability to support consumers to build independence and exercise choice and control over their daily livesAbility to use digital systems including email, messenger systems and Client information systemsQualifications and ExperienceCurrent C or CA Driver's license (QLD)Certificate III or higher in a relevant qualification with a minimum of 12 months industry experienceHLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication Skill setIn addition to the above, you will need to demonstrate:Previous experience of working with culturally diverse clientsCurrent or recent experience in client focused rolesAbility to adapt communication to individual client needsCompetent to recognise risks and incidents, react appropriately and report accuratelyThe successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of relevant screening and background checks, including an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.What to Do NextTo apply for this position, please submit the following documents:Your current resumeA cover letter clearly addressing the key aspects and requirements of the roleApply today for a career that changes lives
