We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled educator to take on the role of Assistant Principal at St Gerard's Catholic Primary School.
Joining the Principal you will play an integral role in supporting students and staff, while working collaboratively to lead key school initiatives, nurture staff growth, and uphold excellence in teaching and learning throughout the school.
This role may have a teaching load, providing the opportunity to remain actively engaged in the classroom while contributing to school leadership.
Interviews will take place in the second week of Term Three school holidays.
The position will be ongoing commencing January 2026.
Selection Criteria Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education and be an active member of the Catholic Church.
Actively promote and strengthen the Catholic identity of the school through its vision, mission, values, and integration of faith into daily teaching and learning practices.
Have the skills and ability to support the Principal in the Leadership Domains of Catholic Identity, Education, Community and Stewardship.
Possess a strong knowledge of current educational research, pedagogies, and practices, with a passion for driving school improvement and leading educational change.
Be able to support a culture in which every student is recognised as having the ability to learn and within which their learning and engagement are actively improved with quality teaching.
Promote and celebrate the pursuit of excellence, while ensuring accountability and ongoing improvement at all levels of school life.
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all students, staff, families and Parish.
Demonstrate exceptional IT skills and the capacity to lead and support the integration of technology into teaching, learning, and administration to enhance student outcomes, streamline processes, and foster innovation.
Show commitment to student and staff wellbeing.
Ensure the student is at the centre of all decisions, processes and planning.
Qualifications Required
1) An active member of the Catholic Church.2) Accreditation for Leadership.
3) A minimum of seven years relevant teaching experience.4) Current Teachers Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).5) Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
