OverviewJoin to apply for the 2026 Livestock Career Development Program - Rockhampton QLD role at Nutrien Ag Solutions - AustraliaBased at our Rockhampton branch, the 2026 Livestock Career Development program will provide the skills and training you need to be a future leader or technical expert within the Livestock Industry.
The program is designed for top talent to gain valuable experience in all aspects of Livestock activity while completing an in-house Certificate in Livestock Marketing.
The 24-month program (roles are all permanent) involves four leadership and skill-building workshops, on-the-ground training, and mentors for ongoing support.
You'll have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, learning effective selling and relationship-building techniques with guidance from experienced livestock employees and leaders.
What to expect
Accelerated learning opportunities to kick start your career within Livestock
Professional networking with peers and leaders across the business
Placement mobility after the 24-month program; you may be required to relocate to maximize your experience
Business skills – compliance, sales and client relationship building, communication, marketing and social media, budgeting/finance, problem solving, negotiation, and leadership
Livestock skills – next generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical and market requirements, and emerging technology
Who we're looking for
To be considered for the 2026 Livestock Career Development Program you should have a strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry, excellent customer service skills, and strong negotiation abilities.
In addition, you will demonstrate:
Successful completion of Year 12
Minimum 24 months experience within the Agricultural industry, ideally in Livestock
Willingness to relocate during or at the conclusion of the program
Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent resident status – temporary VISA holders are not eligible
Vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to learn, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and leadership potential
Genuine interest in working and learning about the Livestock Industry
