Career Employment Group Inc is currently seeking applications for a Finance and Payroll individual to join our Head Office in Whyalla.
This is a full time position, working 38 hours week (Monday to Friday).
This position is part of our Corporate Service department, which provides accounting and payroll support to our entire organisation.This is a multifaceted role, where you will contribute to the overall success of our finance division.
As a Finance and Payroll Officer you will also use your customer service skills and provide exceptional support to our internal and external stakeholders.
To succeed you will have excellent attention to detail, and an ability to undertake analysis of information.If you have a passion for the finance and payroll industry but have not had significant experience, we would be willing to consider a traineeship option.
Key responsibilities in this role will be: Undertake finance processes in all areas of accounting, including accounts receivable, and accounts payableReconciliation of bank accountsOrganise creditor invoicing, payments, and allocationsSet up new starters in a payroll systemPayroll processing for weekly and fortnightly pay cyclesAssist with debtor management such as debt collection, report analysis and statementsAssist with claims and reimbursements To be successful in the role, you will have: Minimum completion of Year 12 (or undertaking Accounting in year 12 and completing in 2025)Experience in the use of Microsoft office suiteExperience using Xero, MYOB or other accounting softwareQuality customer service skillsTime management and prioritisation skills to work in a fast paced environmentHigh attention to detailBe innovative with technology and accepting of changing work practicesAbility to multi-task and meet competing deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as autonomouslyA strong work ethic and positive attitudeThis position will require background screening and a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug testing.
