We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
General Practitioner
to join our medical team in the Warwick area. This critical role involves working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander families to increase access to medical services.
About the Role
This GP position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including chronic Disease Nurses, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, Midwives & Allied Health Professionals. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander patients, addressing any gaps in service delivery.
As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, communicating effectively with patients and colleagues, and prioritizing tasks to ensure seamless care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide medical care to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander patients
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure effective care delivery
Address gaps in service delivery to improve patient outcomes
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively
Requirements:
Current registration with AHPRA as a vocationally registered General Practitioner
Current medical indemnity insurance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues
Effective organizational skills, including prioritization and task management
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and understanding of issues related to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander families. They will also possess knowledge of working with children and families through their antenatal and postnatal journeys.
