**Mental Health Project Officer (Lived Experience) Collaborative Centre - Royal Melbourne Mental Health Services (RMH MHS)**
- Exciting new Consumer or Carer Lived Experience Project Officer role embedded in the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing consortium
- Collaborative partnership with University of Melbourne, including the Consumer Academic Program
- Contribute to the implementation of innovative evidence-based public mental health models of care
- Be supported by well-established LE workforce teams (consumer and carer), integrated across all levels of the organisation

**The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services**

As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, RMH provides a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient, and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, and virtual health.
- We have a robust future ahead as the lead mental health service for the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, and as adult mental health lead for the Statewide Trauma Service. These ground-breaking programs will drive mental health reform across the sector and will offer a wide range of opportunities for involvement of staff within the RMH MHS. Our partnerships with multiple community and academic organisations support our program and enable a sophisticated learning structure, with a focus on research translation. **Your new team:
**Collaborative Centre - RMH MHS**
- Work as part of a network organisation with Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne as the lead partners with the Collaborative Centre
- Alongside the Best Practice Consortium lead, there is commitment to co-design and co-production of research projects
- As part of the wider RMH MHS Lived Experience workforce, you will receive discipline specific support and have opportunities to connect with other Consumer and Carer LE workers

**Your success in this role, will be in your ability to**
- This role will work alongside both clinical and lived experience teams, requires an understanding of how mental health services work, a resilient and positive approach, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to plan and implement translational research and best practice models of care collaboratively with diverse partners

**Your Contribution**
- Bring your confidence and desire to share your wisdom, knowledge, and expertise with a broader team.
- Utilise your lived experience and expertise in co-production to support and lead projects
- Bring a strong understanding of Consumer or Carer perspective work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and Verbal) and capacity to build relationships with individuals and groups to drive coproduction and codesign
