**About this role**
The primary focus of the role would be to support on a range of contaminated land projects (field and office-based tasks) ranging from preliminary site investigations, detailed site investigations, remediation strategies, waste classification and input into environmental management plans, environmental impact assessments and due diligence assessments.
The role will largely focus on large transport infrastructure projects and is likely to be working with partner organisations within a Technical Advisor setting. The role will also include smaller projects in a diverse range of sectors including energy, water and state government.

**What will I do?**
- Work under mínimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility, including fieldwork investigations, sampling, supervision of contractors and stewarding site health, safety and wellbeing programs
- check the quality and accuracy of own and others work. Furthermore, you may be responsible for the development of others through providing guidance, training and feedback
- Author reports, non-standard deliverables, and other documentation
- Represent your team or group at external meetings, and you may be involved in developing events, activities and internal projects of some complexity.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or other relevant qualification
- 4 - 6 years or relevant industry experience in a profession working environment, including state/local government and/or consulting
- Has a broad knowledge of contamination assessment, remediation and management and keeps up to date with industry updates
- Significant experience in coordinating and managing site work, including higher risk sites and/or tasks (such as tank pulls)
- Experience in the scheduling and sampling of soil and groundwater (soil vapour experience highly regarded)
