**The Role**
The RTO Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that our RTO meets all requirements per RTO Standards 2015.

As an RTO specialising in online short courses for the food and hospitality sectors, they have a high volume of students who enrol and complete their courses each week. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the qualified trainers/assessors complete assessments for these students on time and to the required standard and completing some assessments yourself.

For the compliance part of the role, you will be maintaining compliance for current and new courses, ensuring their trainers/assessors maintain the currency, keeping policies and procedures up-to-date and coordinating all compliance-related activities for the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure assessments are managed to a quality standard and promptly
- Conduct assessments as required
- Provide coaching to assessment personnel as required
- Take ownership of RTO policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
- Produce Unit of Competency mappings, Training & Assessment Strategies, ACSF mappings and other documents required when releasing new courses, as well as keeping these documents up to date for current courses
- Plan and coordinate training package transition activities
- Ensure trainers maintain both industry and VET currency
- Ensure trainers and assessors are suitably qualified and that their documentation is kept up-to-date
- Conduct Industry Engagement activities
- Produce quarterly Student Feedback Reports
- Conduct monthly compliance meetings with the Training & Assessment team, and maintain minutes and actions
- Organise quarterly assessment validation activities
- Maintain relationships with ASQA, NSW Food Authority and other regulatory bodies
- Coordinate annual AVETMISS report submission, CEO Declaration and other annual compliance activities
- Ensure ASQA registration is kept up to date
- Assist in hiring, onboarding and other HR activities as required
- Assist in project-related activities (testing, documentation, business requirements input) as required
- Maintain AFS RTO Registers
- Train new team members
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and issues related to RTO compliance
- Sound working knowledge of RTO Standards 2015
- The ability to take accountability for all RTO compliance activities
- Team leadership and coordination skills to ensure team members are completing assessment activities and are following RTO standards at all times
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Tech savvy with experience working with cloud-based software systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience ensuring compliance for online courses is highly regarded but not required

**Your Qualifications - ideally**
- 5+ years experience in the VET sector
- 2+ years experience in a similar role
- 3+ years working in the food and hospitality industry
- Current Cert IV TAE40116 is required for this role
