About the Role
We're on the hunt for an experienced Compliance Officer who thrives on precision, organisation, and making things run like clockwork. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with our RTO Operations Manager to keep our RTO at the top of its game—ensuring we meet and exceed ASQA, State, and Federal requirements.
This is not your average compliance role—you'll have the flexibility to work from home, set up your office anywhere in QLD, NSW, or SA, and choose between a full-time week or a 4-day week that still keeps you at the heart of the action
What You'll Do
- Liaise with all State funding bodies, AQSA and key stakeholders
- Generate funding claims
- Manage student records with care and accuracy, ensuring compliance
- Conduct detailed student file audits
- Maintain adherence to Standards for RTOs 2015 & 2025
- Process and verify Credit Transfers for new students
- Keep our RTO scope and course records current, including training package transitions
- Maintain up-to-date eLearning content and systems
- Prepare for, support, and shine during ASQA, state and internal audits
- Oversee validation and moderation processes
- Maintain compliance calendars, registers, and trainer records
- Collaborate to create engaging, fully compliant learning resources
About You
You're a natural organiser with laser-sharp attention to detail and a deep understanding of the RTO compliance landscape. You can juggle priorities, communicate with ease across all levels, and bring proactive ideas to improve processes.
What You'll Bring
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – essential.
- Minimum 5 years' VET RTO compliance experience – essential.
- Strong IT skills and ability to get the most from systems – essential.
- Experience with a Learner Management System (LMS) and Student Management Systems (SMS) – essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience (desirable) in sourcing or developing learning resources that best meets the needs and wants of learners and organisation. Material formats may include online or hard copy training manuals, workshops, audio or video tutorials, seminars and assessments.
- Contextualise/revise learning resources as per the training package requirements and design interactive Learner guides, PowerPoint presentations, Observation checklists, Assessment tasks, Trainers guides, and Mapping Matrix.
- Canvas knowledge, desirable but not essential.
