Organisation: Schools (Government)

**Salary**: Salary not specified

Occupation: Education and Training

**Location Profile**:
Established in 1994, Woady Yaloak Primary School emerged from the community-driven amalgamation of four rural schools in Smythesdale, Snake Valley, Scarsdale and Ross Creek, approximately 20 km southwest of Ballarat. This union brings together four historic goldfield schools.

Woady Yaloak operates as a multi-site school, offering the intimate setting of a small school with the benefits of a larger school environment. We are dedicated to unifying these four communities to foster a strong sense of belonging. At Woady, we strive to "Achieve Together".

Our single administration oversees all four campuses, with the main administration centre located in Smythesdale. Each campus has undergone rebuilds, with three featuring learning studios that open onto large spaces used for campus-wide activities, assemblies and designated areas like libraries or art spaces. All campuses boast large, attractive outdoor learning and playing areas, including 4 new playgrounds.

This year, Woady Yaloak has 16 classrooms. Specialist teachers at each campus deliver programs in areas such as L.O.T.E. (Japanese), Health & P.E., the Arts and Science. Each campus has an office-based Education Support (E.S.) staff member, with additional E.S. staff supporting various student programs across the school. One Principal and two Assistant principals work across all four campuses to support the Campus Heads.

As one school, we share common beliefs, values, and a mission. We emphasise the development of literacy and numeracy skills, along with fostering a positive sense of self-worth, tolerance, and a healthy lifestyle. This is supported by our Behaviour Education Program, with a focus on embedding the School Wide Positive Behaviour Framework.

Our staff is committed to ongoing professional learning and the sharing of best practices, at each campus and in every classroom.
