The menu showcases fresh seafood, prime Black Angus steaks, Lachlan Valley lamb, authentic pasta, paella, and a variety of specialty Italian dishes.We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a professional kitchen that values creativity, quality, and seasonal cooking.Location: 28 Cessnock Road, Neath NSW 2326, AustraliaKey ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and cook high-quality dishes across à la carte, banquet, and tasting menus.Develop and adjust menus in line with seasonal produce and customer preferences.Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service.Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, including cooks and apprentices.Monitor food quality, freshness, and safe storage.Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control kitchen costs.Collaborate with the Head Chef on Italian and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards.Maintain and oversee proper use of kitchen equipment.Prepare and serve speciality dishes including seafood, pasta, lamb, and prime steaks.Assist with tastings, new dish development, and seasonal menu updates.Ensure smooth and efficient workflow during busy service.Monitor customer feedback and adapt offerings as required.Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture.What We're Looking ForMinimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
Strong background in Italian, Mediterranean, or Modern Australian cuisine.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail, creativity, and a true passion for food.Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.Strong teamwork and communication skills.
